Cat6 underwater Ethernet cable with 4 x 24AWG twisted pairs, PUR jacket. Gigabit (1000 Mbps) performance, subsea rated for ROV tether and marine LAN applications.
The Cat6 Underwater Ethernet Cable provides Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) performance in a subsea-rated, PUR-jacketed cable. With 4 x 24AWG foil-shielded twisted pairs meeting Cat6 (TIA-568-C.2) specification and a spline separator to control crosstalk, this cable ensures reliable 1 Gbps data transmission for ROV tether systems, subsea network switches, and high-bandwidth underwater instruments.

Cat6 supports 1000BASE-T at up to 100 m per segment. For longer subsea cable runs (up to several kilometres), we recommend transitioning to a fibre optic hybrid cable which eliminates the 100 m Ethernet distance limitation.
Cat5e is sufficient for most observation-class ROVs. Cat6 is recommended when the ROV carries high-definition video systems, multiple simultaneous Gigabit streams, or operates a subsea Ethernet switch requiring high-throughput uplinks. We can advise on the right standard for your specific ROV configuration.
