Fibre Optic + Power Underwater Hybrid Cable Kevlar Type | Subsea

Underwater fibre optic + power hybrid cable with Kevlar braid. PUR jacket, depth-rated, for ROV tethers and subsea high-bandwidth fibre optic deployments.

Product introduction

Fibre Optic + Power Underwater Hybrid Cable with Kevlar (Subsea Type)

This subsea-optimised hybrid cable integrates fibre optic elements for high-bandwidth data with copper power conductors and a Kevlar braid tensile member, wrapped in a PUR jacket rated for underwater deployment. An evolution of the standard fibre-power hybrid, this design emphasises maximum tensile strength and depth resistance for demanding deep-sea ROV tether applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between this and the standard fibre hybrid (n=774)?

Both share the same fundamental design. This version (n=775) is optimised specifically as the subsea/underwater type with emphasis on water-blocking gel in the fibre unit and moisture-barrier tape layers, providing additional protection in long-term submerged deployments.

Can I get a neutrally buoyant version?

Yes. By selecting appropriate filler materials and adjusting the Kevlar density, we can achieve neutral buoyancy at a specified depth. This is a common requirement for ROV tethers to minimise drag on the vehicle during operation.
