2x2.0mm2 + 2x2x0.22mm2 Underwater Power/Signal Cable with Kevlar | ROV

2x2.0mm2 power + 2 twisted pairs 0.22mm2 signal with Kevlar braid underwater cable. High tensile strength for deep ROV tether and subsea deployment.

Product introduction

2x2.0mm2 + 2x2x0.22mm2 Kevlar-Reinforced Underwater Power/Signal Cable

This Kevlar-braided underwater cable combines 2 x 2.0mm2 power conductors with 2 shielded twisted pairs at 0.22mm2 for signal, wrapped in a high-tenacity Kevlar (aramid) braid and PUR outer jacket. The Kevlar reinforcement provides exceptional tensile strength, enabling the cable to function as a structural tether as well as a power and signal conduit for ROV systems.

Parameter Specification
Power Conductors 2 x 2.0 mm²
Signal Pairs 2 x 2 x 0.22 mm² (shielded twisted pairs)
Reinforcement Kevlar (aramid) braid
Breaking Strength 600--1,500 kg (custom available)
Jacket Material Polyurethane (PUR)
Voltage Rating 300/500V RMS
Temperature Range -30°C to +80°C

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this cable support the weight of a heavy ROV?

Yes, with appropriate Kevlar braid density. A standard configuration achieves 600--1,000 kg breaking strength, suitable for most observation-class ROVs. For work-class ROVs (up to 3,000+ kg in water), we can provide heavier Kevlar braid or steel wire armour variants.

Does Kevlar reinforcement affect signal quality?

No. The Kevlar braid is electrically non-conductive and is located outside the foil-shielded signal pairs, so it has no effect on signal integrity or EMI performance.
