3x1.5mm2 + 8x2x0.5mm2 Underwater Power/Signal Cable for ROV Umbilicals

This underwater cable features 3 x 1.5mm2 power conductors (suitable for 3-phase or multi-line power delivery) combined with 8 individually shielded twisted pairs at 0.5mm2 for multi-channel signal and control. Enclosed in a PUR outer jacket, this cable is engineered for ROV umbilical applications where multiple power phases and numerous control signals must be routed within a single, hydrodynamic cable.

Can this cable be used for 3-phase AC power delivery?

Yes. The 3 x 1.5mm2 cores can carry 3-phase AC power (e.g. 3 x 400V AC) to subsea thrusters or hydraulic power units. Voltage rating is 300/500V; consult our engineers for higher voltage requirements.

What is the signal isolation between channels?

Each of the 8 signal pairs is individually foil shielded, providing high inter-channel isolation (typically >60 dB). An overall braid shield further protects all signal pairs from external EMI.

Three conductors twisted together with tinned  copper drain wire and aluminium/polyester foil  (1 each) 

Shielded twisted pairs 0.50 mm² bare copper conductor insulated with PE.

Two conductors twisted together with a tinned copper drain wire and aluminium/polyester foil (8 each)
