Underwater TV Cable with Kevlar | Armoured Subsea Camera Cable

Underwater TV cable with Kevlar aramid braid reinforcement. 75 ohm coax + power, high tensile strength for deep ROV and tethered camera deployment. PUR jacket.

Product introduction

Underwater TV Cable with Kevlar Reinforcement for Deep-Sea ROV Cameras

This Kevlar-reinforced underwater TV cable combines a 75-ohm coaxial video conductor with power cores, wrapped in a high-strength Kevlar (aramid) braid and PUR outer jacket. The Kevlar layer provides exceptional tensile strength, enabling the cable to support the weight of tethered cameras and ROV systems during deployment and recovery -- without stretching or signal degradation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What breaking strength can the Kevlar version achieve?

Standard configurations offer 500 kg to 1,500 kg breaking strength depending on braid density. Custom higher-strength versions (up to 3,000 kg+) can be produced for deep-sea winch deployment. Please state the working load when enquiring.

Does Kevlar affect the cable's neutrally buoyant behaviour?

Kevlar has a low specific gravity (approximately 1.44 g/cm3), and with appropriate foam filler integration, we can produce a Kevlar-reinforced version that remains neutrally buoyant in seawater at specified depths.
