The double-sheath 3-core ROV tether cable with air duct is designed for shallow-water ROV operations, diver support, and floating umbilical applications. The integrated air duct serves a dual purpose: it provides the pneumatic supply for diver air or ROV buoyancy control, and the air-filled duct contributes to the cable's near-neutral or positive buoyancy in water. The double PUR jacket provides excellent abrasion resistance and durability in tidal and surface-wave environments.

What is the air duct rated pressure?

The standard integrated air duct is rated to 20 bar (equivalent to 200 m water depth) for diver air supply. For greater depths or higher pressures, a heavier-wall duct is available. Specify the maximum working pressure when ordering.

Can the cable be made positively buoyant?

Yes. Positive buoyancy is achieved by selecting a larger air duct diameter relative to the cable cross-section. We calculate the buoyancy per metre and can tune it to your specification -- specify your cable length, water density (salt or fresh), and desired buoyancy (e.g., 10N/m positive) when ordering.
