Custom underwater hybrid cable combining Cat6 Ethernet and optical fiber. PUR jacket for subsea applications requiring both high-speed Ethernet and fiber optic in one cable.
The custom underwater Cat6 and optical fiber hybrid cable combines Cat6 SFTP Ethernet pairs (for on-vehicle LAN, PoE, and control data) with optical fiber cores (single-mode or multi-mode, for high-bandwidth video streaming and long-distance data) in a single custom-configured PUR-jacketed assembly. This hybrid architecture is used in next-generation ROV systems where Ethernet-connected payloads (IP cameras, sonar) share the tether with fiber-connected high-bandwidth instruments.
| Parameter | Specification |

| Ethernet | Cat6 SFTP pairs (count per spec) |
| Fiber | SM OS2 or MM OM4 (count per spec) |
| Conductor Material | Tinned copper (Ethernet pairs) |
| Fiber Buffer | Loose-tube gel or tight-buffered |
| Overall Jacket | Polyurethane (PUR) |

Typical for a small ROV: 1--2 Cat6 pairs (for PoE camera + control LAN) + 2 SM fibers (for 10 Gbps topside link). For work-class ROV: 4 Cat6 pairs + 4--8 SM fibers. Contact us with your payload list and we will recommend a core allocation.
Yes. Power conductors (copper, size per spec) can be added to the hybrid design. A common configuration is Cat6 pairs + fiber + 4 x 1.5mm² power conductors for a fully integrated ROV tether that carries network, fiber, and power in a single cable.
