Underwater RG6 Coaxial + Cat6 20AWG Shielded Hybrid Cable

This hybrid underwater cable integrates an RG6 coaxial core (75 Ohm) for analog or HD video transmission with Cat6-equivalent 20AWG shielded twisted pairs for Ethernet communication, all within a single PUR outer jacket. Used in ROV systems and subsea CCTV installations where both a video signal and an IP data channel are required in a single cable run, reducing bundle complexity.

Can the RG6 carry HD-SDI video?

Yes. RG6 coaxial cable is commonly used for HD-SDI video at frequencies up to 1.5 GHz (HD-SDI) and 3 GHz (3G-SDI). The cable length affects signal quality -- for runs over 100 m, use an SDI equaliser/reclocking amplifier at the topside receiver.

Is the Cat6 section suitable for PoE (Power over Ethernet)?

Yes. The Cat6 shielded pairs can carry PoE (802.3af/at, up to 30W) simultaneously with Ethernet data. Ensure the power budget is calculated for the cable resistance at the working length and conductor size.
