Double Sheath Red Communication Cable 2x2x0.5mm2 | Underwater Twisted Pair

Double-sheath red communication cable 2x2x0.5mm2 twisted pair. Dual PUR jacket, high visibility red, for subsea communication, RS-485, and underwater signal transmission.

Product introduction

Double Sheath Red Communication Cable 2x2x0.5mm2 -- Underwater Twisted Pair

The double-sheath red 2x2x0.5mm² communication cable features two individually shielded twisted pairs, dual-layer PUR jacketing, and a high-visibility red outer sheath. The red colour aids identification in complex subsea cable bundles and during ROV inspection footage review. Suitable for RS-485, RS-422, Modbus, and other differential-pair communication protocols over subsea cable runs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why double sheath?

The inner jacket provides the first moisture and mechanical barrier. The outer PUR jacket provides abrasion and chemical resistance and the high-visibility colour. The double-jacket construction significantly extends service life in abrasive seabed or tidal environments.

Does the red colour fade underwater?

PUR-compounded red pigment is UV-stable and maintains colour through prolonged seawater immersion. The cable may darken slightly over years of deployment but remains visually distinct from black cables.
