7 Core Control Cable + 2 Power Cores Underwater Composite Cable | PUR

7-core control cable with 2 power cores, 9 conductors total, PUR jacket. Underwater composite cable for ROV multi-channel control and power in one run.

Product introduction

7 Core Control Cable with 2 Power Wires -- Underwater Composite Cable

The 7+2 core underwater composite cable provides an additional signal channel over the 6+2 design, accommodating ROV systems with seven independent control or sensor signal channels alongside dedicated power conductors. The extra core is typically used for a spare/redundant signal path, an additional sensor input, or a dedicated ground return, depending on the ROV system architecture.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the 7th control core typically used?

Common uses for the extra core include: spare/redundant signal path, dedicated RS-485 ground reference, additional analog sensor input (4-20mA), or a separate lighting dimmer control channel. The function is defined by the ROV system integrator.

What is the overall cable diameter?

The outer diameter depends on the conductor sizes chosen for control and power cores. A typical 7x0.5mm² + 2x1.5mm² configuration results in approximately 8--10 mm OD. Contact us with your conductor specification for an accurate OD calculation.
