The 3-contact Circular Series from Shanghai Kabel Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd is the standard connector for subsea 3-phase AC thruster motor circuits. Each contact carries one phase (U/V/W) at up to 25 A. With IP68 sealing and 7,000 m depth rating, COBH3 bulkhead and COIL3 in-line connectors provide reliable, wet-mateable power connections for ROV thrusters, AUV propulsion systems, and subsea pump motors.

3-Phase Motor Wiring

Does the 3-pin Circular connector include a ground/earth contact?

No -- with 3 contacts, all three are assigned to the 3 AC phases (U/V/W). Earth continuity for the motor housing is handled separately through the metallic shell bonding path or a dedicated earth connector. Confirm grounding strategy with your thruster OEM.

What is the maximum motor power this connector can supply?

At 25 A per contact and up to 600 V, the theoretical maximum is 600V x 25A x sqrt(3) = approx. 26 kVA for a 3-phase circuit. In practice, ROV thruster connectors typically operate at 100-300 V and 5-20 A per phase, well within the rating.
