The positioning water leak detector rope uses a 4-core construction with precision resistance-per-metre calibration to enable the connected controller to calculate the exact distance to the leak -- accurate to within 1 metre. High sensitivity detection ensures that even minor water presence (small drops or condensation pooling) triggers an immediate alarm, long before significant water damage can occur. Essential for large data centres, raised-floor environments, and critical facilities where rapid fault location is essential to minimise downtime.

The 4-core rope has a precisely controlled resistance per metre of length. When water bridges the sensing conductors at a specific location, the controller measures the resistance change and calculates the distance (D = R_leak / resistance_per_metre). This gives a leak location accurate to within 1 m on cable runs up to 200 m.

Is this rope compatible with third-party positioning controllers?

Our positioning rope is calibrated to standard resistance-per-metre values compatible with most industry-standard positioning controllers (including popular brands). Confirm the resistance specification of your controller with our technical team before ordering to ensure compatibility.

Can the rope go around corners?
