The Circular Series from Shanghai Kabel Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd is engineered for the most demanding subsea connectivity applications -- deep sea ROV operations, long-endurance AUV missions, and permanent offshore seabed instrument installations. Wet-mateability allows connections to be made and broken while submerged, without bringing equipment to the surface. IP68 rated, 7,000 m depth qualified, PEEK insulated, and directly compatible with SubConn® Circular Series.
Wet-mateable means the connector can be engaged and disengaged underwater -- by a diver or an ROV manipulator -- without flooding or shorting. Spring-loaded contacts displace seawater at the moment of mating, and the dual O-ring face seal traps no water inside the mated pair. This is the fundamental advantage of the Circular Series over standard IP68-sealed connectors that must be mated in air.

The Circular Series is rated for 500+ wet-mating cycles. In ROV operations with daily hot-stabbing, connectors typically remain in service for 2-5 years before scheduled replacement of O-rings and contacts during overhaul.
