Deep Sea Stainless Steel Micro Circular Underwater Connectors -- Male Female All Contacts | IP68 | 7000m

Shanghai Kabel Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd deep sea stainless steel (316L) micro circular underwater connectors in 2-12 contacts, male and female. IP68+IP69K, 7000m depth. For long-term, tropical, and corrosion-critical deployments.

Product introduction

Deep Sea Stainless Steel Micro Circular Underwater Connectors -- Male and Female | 7000m | IP68 | ROV AUV

Shanghai Kabel Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd supplies a dedicated deep sea stainless steel variant of the Micro Circular underwater connector platform -- male and female, bulkhead and in-line, in 2 to 12 contact counts. The stainless steel (316L, electropolished) shell is specified for the most demanding subsea environments: full ocean depth deployments, extended long-term mooring campaigns, tropical and biologically active seawater zones, and mixed-metal ROV frames where galvanic corrosion is a primary design risk.

Rated to 7,000 m depth, IP68 sealed, SubConn® Micro Circular compatible.

Surface Finish and Anti-Galling

All stainless steel shells are electropolished and passivated to maximize corrosion resistance. Threaded mating surfaces are treated to minimize thread galling -- a common failure mode when stainless steel threads are torqued repeatedly in seawater. An anti-galling compound is available on request for long-term deepwater deployments.

Applications

  • Long-term deep-sea observatory and mooring systems (12+ months)
  • Full ocean depth (11,000 m class) instrument frames (with depth derating)
  • Tropical and equatorial seawater deployments (high biological activity)
  • Offshore oil and gas production tree and wellhead connectors
  • Tidal energy array subsea sensor systems
  • Naval and defence subsea sensor platforms
  • Offshore wind farm underwater monitoring cables

Frequently Asked Questions

Do stainless steel connectors mate with standard aluminium MCBH/MCIL?

Yes. The stainless steel shell does not change the contact face or thread geometry. MCBH-SS mates with any MCIL of matching contact count, regardless of shell material.

What is electropolishing and why does it matter?

Electropolishing removes surface irregularities and contamination from the stainless steel surface, creating a chromium-oxide passive layer that dramatically improves corrosion resistance -- especially important in high-salinity and biologically active seawater.

Can you supply FKM (Viton) O-rings for high-temperature applications?

Yes. FKM (Viton) O-rings are available as an upgrade option for applications involving elevated temperature seawater or exposure to hydraulic fluids and oils. Specify when ordering.

What is the lead time for stainless steel variants?

Most contact counts (2-8) ship within 2-3 weeks. 10 and 12-contact may require 3-4 weeks. Contact sales@rovcable.com for current stock status.
