Frequently Asked Questions

How does an 18-core connector handle heat dissipation?

At 25 A per contact, the 316L stainless steel body and polyurethane boot dissipate heat effectively into the surrounding seawater. For continuous high-current operation, we recommend calculating total heat load and confirming with our engineering team.

Is this available in a panel-mount (bulkhead) version?

Yes -- both inline (cable-to-cable) and bulkhead (panel-mount) configurations are available. Specify when ordering.

Can contacts be mixed (power + signal) within the 18 positions?

Yes -- a common configuration uses 12 power contacts + 6 signal contacts. Custom mix arrangements are available; contact us with your circuit diagram.
