MCDLSM Subsea Waterproof Outer Locking Sleeve Male | Connector Retention

MCDLSM male outer locking sleeve for subsea waterproof connectors. 316L stainless steel, secures connector mating in ROV, subsea instrument, and ocean sensor applications.

Product introduction

MCDLSM Subsea Waterproof Outer Locking Sleeve -- Male

The MCDLSM male outer locking sleeve is installed on the male connector half and works with the MCDLSF female sleeve to provide a positive-locking retention system for mated underwater connector pairs. Machined from 316L stainless steel for exceptional seawater corrosion resistance, the MCDLSM prevents accidental connector separation in high-current, high-vibration, or ROV work-class environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need both MCDLSF and MCDLSM for a connector pair?

For the full double-locking retention system, both MCDLSM (male) and MCDLSF (female) sleeves are used together. However, some installation designs use a single locking sleeve on one side only. Consult your ROV or instrument system design to determine the correct configuration.

Are these sleeves compatible with third-party SubConn-style connectors?

Yes. MCDLSM sleeves are dimensioned to fit SubConn-equivalent (MCIL/MCBH) connector bodies from multiple manufacturers. Provide your connector series and shell size when ordering to confirm fit.

  • Protection of unmated bulkhead connectors during storage, transport and deployment
  • Subsea connector system maintenance, field repair and component replacement
  • ROV system integration requiring mounting hardware, O-rings and sealing components
  • Connector assembly tooling for workshop and field installation operations
  • Inventory management of spare connector parts for subsea system readiness

Customization Options

  • Custom dummy connector configurations for specific connector series and pin layouts
