Airtight Cabin Connector Housing -- Subsea Pressure Vessel Waterproof Enclosure Connector

Airtight cabin connector and housing for ROV, AUV and subsea pressure vessel applications. IP68 sealed, stainless steel. Contact sales@rovcable.com.

Product introduction

Airtight Cabin Subsea Connector Housing

The Airtight Cabin from Shanghai Kabel Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd is a sealed enclosure and connector housing designed for ROV, AUV, and subsea instrument pressure vessel integration. Providing an IP68-rated airtight cavity for electronics or connection terminations, the cabin maintains an air or dry nitrogen atmosphere at depth, protecting sensitive components from seawater ingress while enabling external electrical connections through sealed feed-through connectors.

Frequently Asked Questions

What internal pressure does the airtight cabin maintain?

The cabin is sealed at atmospheric pressure (1 bar). At depth, the external hydrostatic pressure is resisted by the housing wall and O-ring seals. An optional pressure relief valve can be fitted to allow safe venting if internal pressure builds due to outgassing.

Can additional connector penetrations be added to the cabin?

Yes -- the cabin can be configured with multiple feed-through connectors (power, signal, fibre optic, coaxial) through the end caps or side walls. Each penetration is individually O-ring sealed. Specify the number and type of connectors required when ordering.

What depth can the airtight cabin withstand?

Standard cabins are rated to 300 m. Deep-rated versions for 1000 m, 3000 m, or 6000 m are available with thicker walls and titanium hardware. Hydrostatic test certification is supplied with each deep-rated unit.

Applications

  • Extreme deep-sea environments requiring rugged metal-shell connector protection
  • Pressure vessel feed-through and airtight cabin connector applications
  • Subsea equipment housings where connector structural strength is critical
  • Offshore drilling and production systems in high-vibration environments
  • Naval underwater systems requiring MIL-spec grade connector durability

Customization Options

  • Stainless steel, titanium or specialized alloy shell materials for corrosion resistance
  • Custom flange mounting patterns and bulkhead sealing configurations
  • Customer-specified O-ring materials for extreme temperature or chemical exposure
  • Certified pressure testing to maximum rated depth with material certifications
