Frequently Asked Questions

Can these connectors be mated and de-mated underwater?

Yes. These connectors are designed for wet-mateable operation -- they can be connected and disconnected while submerged, including at depth. The polyurethane over-moulding ensures watertight sealing before, during, and after mating cycles.

What is the difference between 3,000 m and 6,000 m rated connectors?

The 3,000 m rating suits observation-class ROVs and most scientific instruments. For full-ocean-depth (6,000 m+) applications, we offer heavier-wall stainless steel shell variants with enhanced pressure testing. Contact us to specify your exact depth requirement.

Are these SubConn-compatible?

Our subsea watertight plug connectors follow similar design principles to SubConn connectors and may be compatible in some configurations. For guaranteed SubConn-equivalent mating, please specify and we will confirm compatibility or supply SubConn-compatible alternatives.
