Product introduction

18-Pin Flange Subsea Metal Shell Underwater Connector

The 18-pin flange subsea connector from Shanghai Kabel Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd provides an IP68-sealed panel penetration solution with 18 independent contacts. The flange mounting allows secure bolted installation to pressure vessel walls, ROV frames, or instrument housing panels, providing a reliable, leak-free electrical feed-through for high pin-count subsea applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the advantage of flange mounting over threaded bulkhead?

Flange mounting distributes the sealing load across 4 bolts, providing more uniform gasket compression and better resistance to vibration loosening compared to a threaded bulkhead. It also allows in-situ replacement without removing the connector from the back side of the panel.

What bolt pattern does the flange use?

The standard flange uses a 4x M4 bolt pattern on a 40 mm pitch circle. Custom bolt patterns for existing panel cutouts are available on request.

Can the 18 contacts handle a mix of power and signal circuits?

Yes -- any combination of power (rated to 10 A each) and signal contacts can be assigned within the 18 positions. Submit a wiring diagram for custom pin assignment.
