Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between bulkhead and inline configurations?

The bulkhead (panel-mount) version is fixed to a pressure housing or junction box wall, with the mating plug on the end of a cable. The inline version joins two cable segments together, both sides terminating to cable ends.

Is 1 kV rated for both AC and DC?

Yes -- the connector is rated for 1000 V DC and 1000 V AC rms. For pulsed or inverter-driven systems, contact us to confirm compatibility with your specific waveform.

What cable sizes can be terminated to this connector?

Compatible cable cross-sections range from 4 mm² to 35 mm² depending on the contact size selected. Specify your cable size when ordering for correct contact selection.

Applications

  • High-current power supply for ROV thrusters, subsea pumps and hydraulic systems
  • Marine battery pack charging connections for AUV and underwater vehicle fleets
  • Subsea trenching machines, cable laying equipment and heavy-duty ROV tools
  • Offshore platform high-power distribution and subsea processing equipment
  • Underwater welding systems, intervention tools and high-amperage applications
