Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between DBH8M and DBH8F?

DBH8M is the male bulkhead connector (pin contacts, panel-mount), and DBH8F is the female bulkhead connector (socket contacts, panel-mount). They are supplied as a matched set for male-to-female mating.

Can the connector be used for Ethernet wiring?

Yes -- with 8 contacts and gold-plated pins, the DBH8M/DBH8F set is fully compatible with 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T Ethernet wiring using a standard T568B layout. It is equally suitable for power or mixed signal applications.

What depth can this connector operate at?

The standard configuration is rated to 300 m. Custom pressure-tested versions for up to 4000 m are available with hydrostatic test certification upon request.
