Combining power and data in a single connector reduces the number of hull penetrations, lowers the risk of leaks, and simplifies the wiring harness on ROV and AUV frames -- saving design space and assembly time.
No -- the power and Ethernet inserts are separated by shielded partitions within the connector body. The dedicated screen contact provides a ground reference for the Ethernet shield, preventing crosstalk.
Power contacts are rated up to 600 V DC with a current rating of up to 25 A per contact. Lower-voltage configurations for 12 V, 24 V, or 48 V systems are equally supported.
